I've played around with book altering for a while and recently have enjoyed reading what is written on this tribe site. My new project, that I've been preparing for, is the altering of an old book specifically as an art journal for the upcoming new year. No more art journalling in a blank journal for me.

Sat, March 31, 2007 - 2:31 PMI love this! I started 2 different altered books that I lost in a car accident <wah>. I love the size of books. I love tha tyou can fool around with a new tool or technique in a small space and just let things happen. I also like letting images or words from the text give me inspiration.
I hope you truly enjoy your art journalling this year. I also hope you'll share bits with us. -

Sun, April 1, 2007 - 6:55 PMI just recently started to do the same thing! I usually mix art journaling with my writing and I just finished one. I'm going to move forward with a new journal (for writing) and I'm going to go back to the old journal to redo and add to collages.
Yeah for new creative paths! =)
