so i looked at ebay
as was suggested for these kinds of works for sale
and i was very disappointed by the pricing
they were selling for really low
too low
did you know i read a book
10 years ago that stated
artists should pay themselves $25 an hour?
my books take around 5 hours to make
at least
and the books i saw for sale
the average price was $20
unbelievable
artists are so willing to sell hard earned work
for so cheap

Re: selling on ebay
Fri, June 17, 2005 - 9:33 AMMaybe you could try selling direct to boutiques/stores whose style compliments your style? I'm not sure how you'd go about it - once you identified a store, you'd have to make contact with the owner, and of course if they say no, you keep looking.
It's much harder than e-bay, but if you make the right connections, you'll certainly make more money.

Re: selling on ebay
Fri, June 17, 2005 - 10:51 AMOkay I'm bummed because I got a virus and lost all my links. There is a site out there that auctions nothing but book arts and for decent prices too. If I can manage to find it again I will post it. -
