i am new to the art of altered books. i like the idea of using it as a thereputic method.
i often don't finish my projects because i become bored or discouraged. but i have seem to take a notice in altered books. there are so many different ways to do them and i don't think i could possibly get bored with the ongling creative aspects of it.
thank you for any book suggestions

Re: book suggestion
Mon, January 16, 2006 - 10:34 PMHi,
You might think about starting by altering a children's board book. They're easy to work with and are short so you might not feel so overwhelmed with tackling a longer book at first. I have some directions on how to prepare a board book at karenswhimsy.com/altered-books/ . Scroll down to Sea Dreams or 18 Wishes which are both board books to get some ideas. There are some others there too.
