I'm new to this, so this may be more common than I realize, but I got several player piano scrolls for almost nothing at a junk shop. Some even have lyrics printed to the side of the punch-outs.

If anyone wants a piece, I'd be happy to send a slice...maybe even swap for something?

Oooh, yes! I never thought of piano scrolls, but they would fit in quite well with something I'm planning. I'm sure I could find something to trade. I used to be a Creative Memories (scrapbooking supplies) consultant, and I have SO much leftover inventory to clear out -- colored papers, pens, stickers, die-cuts, etc.

I'm just getting started, too, working on my first altered book. But I'm already thinking of what I want to do next, and it relates to poetry & music. In my first project, I'm showcasing a couple of my poems, and I like the idea so much, I think I'm going to expand on it for the next one.

Wow, I wanted to find a few bits of scroll myself. Talk about a coincidence!

Swap...I have about 28 packages of a metallic gold springy bullion stuff. If you pull on it, it stretches out and stays stretched...difficult to describe, but it's pretty neat stuff. I'll send you a couple, three, or four packages for a foot or more of scroll.

I'm new at altering books myself and have almost as much fun finding stuff to use as I do using the stuff!
